Abstract

The purpose of this study is to research and describe the moral message contained in the "tri-indie+" advertisement. The method used in this study is to use a descriptive qualitative research method with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis theory. This research uses Roland Barthes' semiotic theory that language is a complex system of signs, where each word or symbol represents a certain concept or meaning. Then divide the signs based on markers, denotations and connotations. The focus of this research is to interpret the moral message contained in advertising. There is a message contained in every scene in the tri-indie+ commercial, such as a child who has big dreams in his youth in a very limited environment
