SDN Jatirangga II is a public elementary school with adequate facilities; however, its existing signage system remains unstructured and inconsistent, limiting effective navigation and information delivery within the school environment. This condition particularly affects elementary students, who require clear, simple, and easily understandable visual information. Therefore, this study aims to design an educational signage system that improves navigation and environmental comfort within the school. This research employs a user-centered design thinking approach consisting of four stages: analysis, concept development, design, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to identify user needs, especially those of students aged 6–12 years. The analysis results served as the basis for developing a child-friendly, communicative, and visually consistent signage concept. The outcome of this study is an integrated signage system incorporating visual elements such as color, typography, and pictograms tailored to user characteristics. The proposed design enhances information readability, facilitates navigation, and creates a more organized and comfortable school environment. Additionally, the signage system functions as a visual identity that reflects the school’s child-friendly and educational character. In conclusion, the designed educational signage system provides an effective solution for improving the quality of the school environment and can serve as a reference for signage development in other educational institutions.
