Vol 5 No 2 (2025): RUSTIC

This journal edition presents a diverse collection of six articles exploring architectural performance, cultural identity, sustainability, and environmental health across Indonesia. The first article investigates how the Tugu Pal Putih monument contributes to Yogyakarta’s cultural branding, analyzing emotional engagement and collective memory through Instagram content. The second examines pedestrian circulation at the Great Mosque of Central Java, focusing on how climate and spatial design affect visitor thermal comfort and accessibility. The third explores the structural elements of traditional Osing houses in Banyuwangi, highlighting their tectonic wisdom and resilience against natural disasters such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. The fourth assesses the acoustic performance of a mosque in Maumere, revealing that external noise infiltration exceeds acceptable thresholds and affects worship comfort. The fifth evaluates the Land Use Efficiency category of the Greenship rating in the Menara Poltekkes Riau building, identifying key achievements and areas for improvement in implementing green building principles. Lastly, the sixth article analyzes indoor air quality in Poltekkes Riau laboratories, uncovering critical pollutant levels that pose health risks and recommending ventilation improvements. Together, these studies address architectural challenges and opportunities through the lenses of culture, comfort, sustainability, and safety.
