Correction and Retraction

RUSTIC: Jurnal Arsitektur is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. The journal will take appropriate action when errors or concerns are identified in published articles, in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Corrections

A correction may be issued when an error or omission is identified in a published article and the error does not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions. Examples include errors in figures, tables, captions, references, author affiliations, or other published information that require clarification or amendment.

Corrections may be initiated by the authors, readers, or editorial team. All requests will be assessed by the editor to determine the nature and significance of the error and the appropriate corrective action. Where a correction is warranted, the journal will publish a formal correction notice describing the error and the changes made. The notice will be linked to the original article to ensure transparency and traceability.

Retraction

Retraction may be considered when substantial errors or ethical violations undermine the reliability, validity, or integrity of a published article. Grounds for retraction may include, but are not limited to, fabricated or falsified data, plagiarism, duplicate publication without appropriate justification, serious methodological or analytical errors that invalidate the findings, unethical research practices, or other forms of misconduct that compromise the scholarly record.

The Editor-in-Chief will assess the available evidence, consult relevant experts when necessary, and provide the authors with an opportunity to respond before making a decision, where practicable. The journal may also contact the authors' affiliated institutions or other relevant bodies when further investigation is required.

When retraction is warranted, the journal will publish a clear and accessible retraction notice stating the reason for the retraction and identifying the affected article. The notice will be linked to the original publication. The original article will normally remain accessible in the journal's archive but will be clearly marked as retracted to preserve the transparency and traceability of the scholarly record.

Expression of Concern

When credible concerns arise regarding a published article but the available evidence is insufficient to reach a definitive conclusion, the journal may publish an Expression of Concern while further investigation is undertaken. The journal will determine any subsequent action, including correction, retraction, or no further action, based on the outcome of the assessment.

All decisions concerning corrections, retractions, and Expressions of Concern will be made independently, fairly, and in accordance with applicable publication ethics guidelines. The primary objective is to correct the scholarly record and protect the integrity of academic communication, rather than to punish individual authors.
