Allegation of Research Misconduct

RUSTIC: Jurnal Arsitektur is committed to maintaining the integrity of scholarly publishing and takes all allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously. Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to, fabrication or falsification of data, plagiarism, inappropriate manipulation of images or research findings, duplicate publication, and other practices that undermine the reliability or integrity of scholarly work.

Any allegation of research misconduct involving a submitted or published manuscript will be assessed fairly, objectively, and confidentially by the Editor-in-Chief or the designated editorial team. The journal will follow the relevant guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) when handling such allegations.

The journal may request explanations, supporting documentation, original data, or other relevant evidence from the authors. Where appropriate, the journal may contact the authors’ affiliated institutions, research organizations, or funding bodies to request a formal investigation. All parties involved will be given a reasonable opportunity to provide relevant information, and allegations will not be treated as proven without appropriate assessment.

Depending on the findings and the stage of publication, the journal may reject the manuscript, suspend the editorial process pending further investigation, publish an Expression of Concern, issue a correction, or retract a published article when warranted. The journal will take appropriate action to protect the integrity of the scholarly record while respecting confidentiality, procedural fairness, and the rights of all parties involved.

Authors, reviewers, and readers are encouraged to report suspected research or publication misconduct to the editorial office with sufficient supporting information. All reports will be handled responsibly, without prejudice or retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith.
