Review Process Policy
RUSTIC: Jurnal Arsitektur applies a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the fairness, objectivity, and academic quality of published articles. Under this system, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.
All submitted manuscripts are initially assessed by the editorial team to determine their relevance to the journal's scope, compliance with the author guidelines, originality, and overall suitability for peer review. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject matter.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on their originality, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, accuracy of analysis, relevance to architectural and built-environment scholarship, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the advancement of knowledge.
Reviewers provide recommendations to the editor, which may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief or the designated handling editor, taking into consideration the reviewers' comments and the journal's editorial standards. The editor may seek additional reviews when necessary.
To preserve the double-blind process, authors must ensure that their submitted manuscripts do not disclose their identities in the main document or supplementary materials intended for anonymous review. Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality, declare any potential conflicts of interest, and provide constructive, impartial, and evidence-based assessments.
The journal does not guarantee acceptance of any submission. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, the quality of the manuscript, the reviewers' assessments, and the journal's publication standards. The editorial team is responsible for ensuring that the review process is conducted fairly, confidentially, and without discrimination or undue influence.
