Post-Publication Discussion

RUSTIC: Jurnal Arsitektur recognizes that scholarly communication continues beyond the publication of an article. The journal encourages constructive, evidence-based discussion of published work to promote academic debate, clarify research findings, and strengthen the reliability and integrity of the scholarly record.

Readers, researchers, and other members of the academic community may submit comments, questions, critiques, or alternative interpretations concerning articles published in the journal. Such contributions may address theoretical arguments, research methods, spatial analysis, design interpretations, empirical findings, references, or other scholarly aspects relevant to the published work.

Submissions for post-publication discussion must be relevant to the original article, supported by appropriate evidence or scholarly reasoning, and expressed in a professional and respectful manner. Personal attacks, defamatory statements, and comments that lack substantive academic justification will not be considered for publication.

The editorial team will assess each submission for relevance, academic merit, and compliance with the journal's editorial and ethical standards. Where appropriate, the original authors will be invited to respond to the comments. The journal may publish an accepted comment together with the authors' response to facilitate balanced and transparent scholarly discussion.

If a post-publication discussion identifies a potential factual error, methodological concern, or research integrity issue, the editor will evaluate the matter in accordance with the journal's policies on research misconduct, corrections, and retractions. Appropriate action may include requesting clarification, consulting independent experts, issuing a correction, publishing an Expression of Concern, or retracting the article when warranted.

All editorial decisions concerning post-publication discussion will be based on scholarly merit, supporting evidence, and the need to maintain the integrity of the published record. The journal reserves the right to decline submissions that do not meet its academic and ethical standards.
